2008/2009 Improvements as reported at Tug Talk Bremerton
- Installed new kitchen counter top (by Solid Counter Tops, Olympia, WA—$2700). Left the fiddle in place and fit the new top to it. Used a 3/4” thick Corian-like material. Left the sink in place, so it's now mounted below the new counter top—an under-the-counter sink. The wood from the three counter top hatches was removed, the new counter top material was glued to the hatch, and finally the wood was glued on top of that. Thus the original wood hatch tops are flush with the new counter top.
- Replaced the last of Pet Tugs 1991, 8D gel cell batteries. It lasted 18 years.
- Sitting in the salon Lou counted 105 pieces of brass that needed to be polished. He decided to have a beer instead.
