About the Owners Past and Present
John and Ellen: John went to sea as a professional fisherman while Ellen raised the kids. They enjoy sailing together and even spent 21 days in their catboat gunkholing in and around Cape Cod. When John retired and was looking for a trawler, Ellen was onboard with the decision--as long as he sold the 110' scalloping boat first.
Dave and Barbara: Dave was a section superintendent on the Erie Canal. During the winter when the canal was closed, they lived in Florida. They made round trips from Florida to New York and at least one trip to Canada. Dave reports that the first owner was a submarine captain. The second owner had the misfortune to have a stroke six months after purchasing the boat.
