About the Owners—past and present
The Johnstons: Used a crane to get their new tug out of Carters Lake and then trucked her north to Kingston, Ontario.
The Oplingers: Owned a mechanical contracting company. They originally kept their tug on Toms River, NJ. Not ones to give up their cruising careers just because they lived inland, they moved Loretta May to Carters Lake, GA.
