About the Owners (both current and former)

Roger Lee is a long time sailor whose previous boat was a restored 1913 wooden Friendship Sloop. Fram is named for the Norwegian vessel famous for her exploration of the Arctic (Fridjof Nansen) and Antarctic (Roald Amundsen). Roger lives in Maine, but two of Roger's children, George and Carrie, live in Seattle, WA. The Fram cruised in the San Juan Islands] and as far north as Desolation Sound in September 2012. She cruised from Anacortes, WA to southeastern Alaska, and back to Seattle, in May, June, and July 2013, before being trucked to Belfast, Maine in August. The Fram has attended both of the recent rendezvous events in the northeast: Camden, ME in 2015 and Plymouth, MA in 2016.

Heather MacPhail: Greymalkin logged over 5,000 engine hours on the Washington and British Columbia coasts, gunkholing into almost any inlet your finger can point out on a chart, from Olympia to Prince Rupert, Inside and Outside passages.
